Windows에서 Type 3 키보드 사용하기

요사이 한국에서 발매되는 대부분의 PC에는 한/영 키와 한자 키가 달린 키보드가 장착되어 있습니다. 하지만 오래전에 발매되던 컴퓨터들과 매킨토시 그리고 외국에서 발매되는 제품의 키보드에는 이러한 키가 없습니다. 따라서 이러한 키의 기능을 이용하기 위해 레지스트리 변경등을 수행하여 잘 사용하지 않는 키에 해당 기능을 할당하여 이용하는 사용자가 많습니다.

예전의 한/영 변환은 Shift+Space로 변환을 수행했었습니다. 이 키를 사용하는 키보드로 적용하면 별도의 키 할당 없이 간단하게 적용할 수 있습니다. 이 기능을 수행하는 키보드가 기본 키드중 Type 3입니다.

보통 윈도우 설치에서 선택하거나 설치 후 드라이버 변경으로 바꿀 수가 있는데요, 이러한 방법이 모두 어려운 경우는 아래와 같이 레지스트리 정보를 변경후 재부팅하면 자동으로 선택됩니다.

레지스트리 편집기를 열어 아래의 경로로 이동합니다.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters

그리고 이곳의 값을 아래와 같이 변경합니다.
LayerDriver Kor > KBD101C.DLL
OverrideKeyboardIdentifier > PCAT_101CKEY
OverrideKeyboardSubtype > 5
OverrideKeyboardType > 8
